Earthquake?? In Oconomowoc??

Snakes on planes, zombies, and earthquakes in Oconomowoc...

Unconfirmed reports of explosion sounds and underground rumblings have local police baffled.

Oconomowoc Police Chief David Beguhn said five people called his department about 11 a.m. Tuesday to report hearing strange sounds and feeling tremors or vibrations underground.

Beguhn said officers found no evidence that any sort of explosion had occurred in the city.

The calls occurred at about the same time that new explosions were reported at a chemical plant fire in Columbus, about 30 miles away.

Beguhn, however, said he doubts that was the source of the problem, adding that he was more likely to believe a small earthquake had occurred

Uh huh. The notorious LaBelle Fault line...

having grown up there, I can say, without question that the "earthquake" was a result of the same people doing the same things over and over since at least 1960.

The USGS has no record of any earthquake in Wisconsin the last week.
