Think TEA Parties Were Stupid? Think Again!

The TEA Parties were about drunken-sailor spending and elephantine Gummint. Taxes were in the mix, too; but they were decidedly NOT love-fests for Republicans. Frankly, they suck, and yes, it was GWBush, (mister "I AM the Law of Bailouts and un-Constitutional spending") who signed this crapweasel law.

So the TEA Parties, coming again on July 4th (with big-boomy noises!!) were held.

Here's an excellent example of why.

Thinking of having a yard sale this weekend? Before you do, be sure to consult CSPC Publication #254 [PDF].

This handy 28-pager from the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reminds the American people that, thanks to the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (which I have blogged about
here and here), the government is totally in charge of your yard sale:

This handbook will help sellers of used products identify types of potentially hazardous products that could harm children or others. CPSC’s laws and regulations apply to anyone who sells or distributes consumer products. This includes thrift stores, consignment stores, charities, and individuals holding yard sales and flea markets.

I remind you that damn near EVERY Congressional Republican voted for this abominable crap legislation.

So who needs those jackasses, anyway?

How can I put this in a family blog......

"Take a running start off a short pier, Gummint..... " doesn't really convey the thought.

I wonder if locations where the sun doesn't shine and rotation would be closer to your thoughts.
