Bitterly Clinging to Phobias: YOU!

Nice summary from Krauthammer via Taranto:

-- Resistance to the vast expansion of government power, intrusiveness and debt, as represented by the Tea Party movement? Why, racist resentment toward a black president.
-- Disgust and alarm with the federal government's unwillingness to curb illegal immigration, as crystallized in the Arizona law? Nativism.
-- Opposition to the most radical redefinition of marriage in human history, as expressed in Proposition 8 in California? Homophobia.
-- Opposition to a 15-story Islamic center and mosque near Ground Zero? Islamophobia.
I'm sure there are more phobias not mentioned above. If, for example, you don't believe that globowarming is entirely man-caused, you must be an epistemiphobe, because you fear "science."

If you don't like Jim Doyle, you're a kleptophobe.

Think badly of Gummint tracking your car or cellphone without a warrant? Kateskopevohpobe, that's what you are.

And if you take all that very seriously, you might be an epanastatikos.

Molon Labe, pal! And Buy More Ammo!!
