The Coming Fight Over Net Neutrality

Beltway Confidential sees a brouhaha in the making.

Thirty senators have signed a letter making it clear that should the Federal Communications Commission implement "net neutrality" regulations during its December 21st meeting, the GOP will force a confrontation on the Senate floor over the rules.

The FCC and Genachowski are merely a test case for regulatory over-reach and the 'unitary President' theory, the latter of which was becoming an issue during the Bush 43 Administration.

The (R) House will have a great deal more work to do in squashing Federal regulatory and Cabinet power-grabbing.
